Scrub
1 product
A scrub gives your skin a physical exfoliation and helps treat dull skin by removing dead skin cells. Unlike a peeling which uses a chemical exfoliation.
What’s a Scrub?
A face scrub is a skincare product made of small particles that will physically exfoliate dead skin cells, clean your pores and prevent breakouts. The granulated texture of a face scrub will open up clogged pores and get rid of persistent impurities. The effects of a good scrub are immediate, your skin becomes brighter and smoother. Let your natural glow shine with the appropriate face scrub.
Which face scrub should I use?
Most of the scrubs on the market are sugar or salt based scrubs. The sugar and the salt will give the granulated texture to the scrub. The formulas, depending on the face scrub, contains different oils which allow for a gentle massage. Scrubs are recommended for normal, oily and combination skins. Sensitive and dry skins can also use scrubs but not too often, once or twice a week is usually recommended. In addition, and this applies to all types of skins, the massage must be gentle, aggressive rubbing will lead to irritation of the skin and redness.
How should I use a face scrub?
Use your scrub after your double cleansing and before your toner. This is step three of your skincare routine. As opposed to most steps of your routine, scrub shouldn’t be used daily. Check how your skin reacts. If you experience no irritations you can increase the number of times you apply it in a week.
Gently Massage your scrub on a wet or dry face depending how much oil your scrub contains. If your scrub is quite oily you may not need to wet your face before applying the product. The best way is to start on the forehead with circular movements, slowly moving down to the cheeks and end up with gently scrubbing the T-zone. Rinse the scrub thoroughly and pat your face dry.
